Rainy week project

Been wanting to build one of these for a year now. Had to break down and buy new steel for it.

I just got the last coat of Hemi Orange on it today. Door on each end, one removable side. Can be picked up from either end or front or back.

This one didn't get in with the other photos. I just need to get a safety chain lined up. I know that the forks are not in the holes like it should be here.......I didn't want to knock it off of the stands it was setting on!

Looks nice but here is what I use. Those caged totes seem like a really easy way to get the job done. One could put three or four of them together and not fire up the welder or spray gun.
Plus they are light.

Thanks. I watched some metal bulk baskets sell on a sale for $5 each today. They may work well but you have to climb in over the top. They would be much better than an old thin pallet with no sides. I know a contractor that uses a 30 gallon drum with the top cut out and two hole cut right at the top for the hooks to go through. I bet that's a spooky ride hanging from the crane!

Thanks. You're a better ladder guy than me to get up to your platform! Those totes look like a very good and safe quick and dirty deal. I almost bought some on a sale today just for other stuff too. My needs were for something heavy with doors to get in. I put hooks on the bottom to lift pickup cabs and boxes and have a nice place to lift from.
