I'll be there just on Saturday. Unstyled JD A with a subsoiler. I hear that ground is pretty hard too... We'll see!

Leaving home 10:00 AM tomorrow morning. Google says 6 hours, Probably take me 7 or 8. I like the road less traveled. Mark

I know a gentleman that is heading to the show with his Case SC, model P picker, and wagon. He Is DRIVING about 250 miles and plans to get there in 3 days. He left monday and is making terrific progress. If you see him at the show Tell him he is nuts, but he does love to drive his favorite tractor.

I am going to shut the farm down for a day and go. I havent been off the farm for, holy cow, since the week of this show 4 years ago. Darn cows keep us busy! Have a group of friends headed out with equipment in the morning. We will do chores and then head out one morning later this week. Got someone lined up to do night chores even. Wrigley will be in charge while we are gone! Looking forward to the trip.

John I wonder if a fellow canadian will be their either selling manuels or at least walking around with info on why each and every old fence row tractor does not have a manuel at the ready?

Friday, or Sunday for me! For those going today, or tomorrow it looked to me like they got hammered by rain yesterday. Might be pretty yucky for harvesting!

Leaving Reynoldsburg, Ohio Wednesday morning about 7am. Stopping in Indianapolis to have lunch with friends. Taking our trailer with my farmall M and a plow. Also taking a golf cart. Rantoul here we come.

I will be ridin my faded JD Green Golf Cart with white/beige top and yellow wheels (equipped with rear jump seat) but when I go to these type shows there are a ton of green n yellow carts, most of which are newer n prettier then mine grrrrrrrrrr But I will look for yall

I was there in 1958 It was Chanute AFB then spent 6 months at School learning to work on B-52's and KC-135's.

Heading out this morning, not taking any equipment of my own, well I guess if you count the semi tractor. I"m gonna haul stuff down for our group.

We had about an inch of rain yesterday, you wouldn't know it by the ground conditions. There is another chance this PM but doesn't sound like it will amount to much.

I was there in 1958 too... as a patient at the USAF Hospital recovering from an auto accident that happened in Morocco. I was "shipped" there in June '58 because it was the closest base to my home in Southern Michigan that could handle my problems (splintered left femur and knee ankylosis). I was there until April 1959...lived down town Rantoul in an apartment above the furniture store across from the movie theater after getting married in December. I loved the place, got good treatment by everyone, the base had a terrific NCO Club "The Chandelle", the apartment rent was cheap and the place was nice....About as good as it could get for a newly married enlisted couple in the military. Far and away the best base I was ever on in my 5 1/2 years in the USAF. I've been back several times, saw the HCOP show in '07. It's really sad to see the base deteriorate, too bad they can't utilize more of it, it was a great installation, really helped the town's and local area's economy and the locals were really good to the G.I.'s Stupid government should consider things like that before they just up and close bases. But the Stupid government should consider a lot of things they don't.
