Happened to be outside with a 70 year old camera filled with 20 year old film taking pictures of a 60 year old tractor (Farmall 504) when the blimp flew over. Not sure how old the blimp is.

The blimp may not be that old, but the design is.
That photo has nostalgia written all over it. Good shot, and thanks for posting it.
 
Great photo. The black and white really adds that touch of nostalgia.
If you did not mention it I would not have noticed the blimp. Are you sure it is a blimp?

When was this taken? We made a quick trip to Wash, DC last week- driving through PA, NW of DC on Wed morning- we saw a blimp, headed west, and had "Direct TV" blazoned on the (north) side of it. Same one? BTW- nice pix!
 
think it was taking sales pictures of the essex NO essex tri directional has esex has ever failed!!!!!!!!!
