Dunno,

From just the way the darned thing is acting, pretty darned sure my Hydro 70 has a bent valve....and I don't have time to stop and fix the silly thing.

So, had to swap the loader over onto the other tractor.

Anyhoo, finally got around to stacking hay the past couple of days and after being used to that hydro, the gear drive is just a royal PIA.

Oh well, 360 bales stacked and ready to be hauled home.

Hello Allan,

Nice pic.

Just think of all the adventure that awaits you this winter, when you get to tear her down though..

When I was young, I hated getting stuck moving round bales. Now I enjoy it.

Picked up an old 806 this spring, put a bale fork on the back. Now as I bale, one of my boys rows them up in groups of six for me. I come through later and load em up and head home. Works pretty slick.

Yeah,

I gotta tighten that sucker up too. Gettin' pretty darned sloppy.

Probably from me bangin' it around like this. :>(

That Hydro 70 has a gas engine doesn't it? Never seen a bent valve in them but burned exhaust valves are quite common. You gotta use low ash oil in them or the exhaust valve stems carbon up and hang the valve open. when that happens it only takes a couple seconds to torch the valve face.

got one of each and even though my daughter didn't get very big, with the biceps she developed we never worried about a date taking advantage of her.

Tractor has a leak around the exhaust pipe.

Hydrolocked last time I tried to start it after a rain. Has had a dead miss ever since.

'Spose I gotta get the compression gauge out.

It looks like 3 bales on the front there, tell me its just 2, with a 3rd on the back ! I was hoping the farmer I help was going to get a 3 pt spear, as getting them stacked or on the truck is painfully slow, especially when the other guy loads, and only picks 1 at a time.....

I thought this little M-F 1536 was great for these smaller bales, (now uses a 3150 JD) got em up in a hurry, few years back, last time we had hundreds of them to pick up, I could zoom around on this thing pick em on the fly, 2 at a time, (slowly but still moving) I like how they roll together, butt against each other, worked nice, soon as the truck comes back, loaded in no time, go out and get more bales, repeat, put up almost 50 acres worth that day.
