was felt in Shady Plain Pa too just rattled the pics and dishes --Wife felt like her heart was making her feel sick very unusual around here .

Only live about 10 miles from Mineral.

One thing that has not been reported is that North Anna Nuke Plant is in Mineral where it was centered.

Knocked pictures of the wall here at work in Richmond.

I live in Ashland, VA, just north of Richmond.
Quake was located just West of here in Mineral VA( not to far from the North Anna Nuclear power plant)

Not upstate NY, but central Va. Measured 5.9. Epicenter was Mineral, VA, about 40 miles WNW of where I work (Ashland). Va. Power shutdown both reactors at North Anna nuclear power plant, located about 4 miles from Mineral. Felt a few tremors for a short time after. Wonder if we will have any aftershocks. News says it was felt as far away as Toronto. Let us know if you felt it, and where you are.

shook my friend off his couch here on eastern shore of md. I was on my way to Lowes and never felt a thing but my kidney stone came back!

Felt it here south of Raleigh, NC. Kept thinking "I think it's an earthquake"... then figured 'no that's crazy, it was just one of the military jets or choppers as they fly overhead periodically.' Or must have been the AC unit about to blow up.

15 minutes later heard on the radio that there was an earthquake.

The wife works in Rochester, NY and she said she and her co-workers felt it at the office. I was on the tractor and did not feel it.

Our daughter said they evacuated her building in Washington DC. Her office is on the seventh floor, and she said she definitely felt it.

Guess not too much damage around DC. Amy said a couple of spires fell off the National Cathedral, but no apparent structural damage. Also, no apparent damage to any of the war memorials, etc. The Metro is operating, but restricted to 15 mph where they normally hit 50-60, and maybe 80 on a long stretch.

shook the shop in Dinwiddie , Va. right good it was moving about 3 inches . I was outside drinking a water when it hit . unusual for earthquakes in Va. and a 5.8 is a record.

Felt it in Mid-Michigan. At first I thought someone was very lightly wiggling my chair, until 10 or 15 other people also noticed the very slight shaking.

Felt it a little bit here in Southern Michigan, knew what it was (I lived many years in Northern California), but couldn't hardly believe it. I was in Santa Clara, California in 1989 so I've felt a "big one". When they start you just "never know".....)
