Went out this afternoon and grabbed my last boer goat buckling of the year and took a few pics of him. He weighed in at 30 pounds. Born 7/10 so he is 5 weeks old today. I just pulled him off his mom 2 days ago since she began pushing him away. Yesterday he ate grain and hay fine on his own, so I figured I would put him on Craigslist and see if anyone was interested. Less than 2 hours and he sold, lady drove about 20 miles to get him. I guess you never know. Sometimes it takes a week or longer and you usually have to lower the price (which is better than continuing feeding them). I've been lucky so far, never have had to give up and take any to the auction. If I got the cycle down right this time, I should have several does delivering again in December.
