OT if it isn't one pest its another (beekeeping)

This year is my second try at beekeeping. Checking the hives the other day I had small hive beetles. These are from australia and have pretty much gotten all over the US already. Luckily there seems to be a solution. I installed this trap yesterday.

They lay eggs in the comb and will turn your hive into a box of maggots ruining everything. Then your bees will leave. The bees will herd them into a corner and guard them, they cant sting them through thier shell. The beetles know how to trick the bees into feeding them by stimiluating thier mouth like bee larva. If you get too many or have a weker hive they will ruin it.

My dad kept bees small scale for about 25 yrs until he got too old. The last few years were a constant battle of mites and collapse, forever replacing swarms with new only to have them die off. It was too bad the honey and pollination were great.

Facts... they are NOT from Australia, they are from Africa.
They have been in the US since 1996 and in Australia since 2000.
However that other pest that is wiping out your colonies is not in Australia that is why you are importing our bees, without them YOU would not have an industry. We are actually sending them to their death.
There is a cure for the beetle...
