Mornin' Guys,

Summer fallow needs covered and the only tractor I have free is the 686.

Ya think it will handle a 30 foot rod?

Morning Allan

Never pulled a rod before but it sounds like it would be a load for a 686.

I never even heard of a rod till you posted about it a couple of years ago.

You may have to pull the pin on one of those bigger tractors.

ALLAN, ARE TOU TALKING ABOUT A ROD WEEDER? I USED ROD WEEDERS MANY YEARS HERE IN AZ. WE USED DEAD RODS THAT DIDN'T TURN, BUT THE BEST ONES USED A HYDRAULIC MOTOR TO TURN THE ROD BACKWARDS. THEY PULLED EASIER AND DID A BETTER JOB OF CUTTING WEED ROOTS UNDER THE GROUND.

I thought you said hay season was over and you could put all that equipment to bed . I never did here you say anything about baling the hay on the other side of the big hollar though , seems that is always an adventure .

There's only one way to truely find out, now isn't there? If it works, great! You can keep going. If not, well you still gotta unhook one of the bigger ones.
