Got the 1945 M-4 18 ton high speed tractor done today. HOORAY!! Put 116 hours of labor in it in the last 3 weeks. Gonna get it out for the camera tomorrow and then I'll post a few shots. Took around 500 hours to convert it from a rusted hulk to a machine that's running with everything functioning and looking like it should. Wanna come for a ride? There's room for ten passengers besides the driver. It'll shake your dinner down cause it has the same tracks as the Sherman tank and at about 10 MPH it rattles like crazy. The other night I sat in the back seating area with a beer in my hand and just enjoyed the view out the windshield. If you come to the Albert City Threshing Show next weekend you will get to look it over. See ya tomorrow. Jim

Funny thing about live track systems like that has.......the faster ya go the smoother it rides!

Do you know what the smaller vehicle is in this video?

The smaller one looks like a weasel, made by Studebaker. Might be wrong on that. The fella I'm restoring this M-4 for has a weasel that I replaced the engine in. Very tight engine quarters. If I dropped a wrench or bolt, a magnet was the only way to retrieve it-if I could see it down there. Jim
