Tractor Seat Shock Absorber

Seems like a silly question, but I need to know if anyone would have a part # or something that would get me a shock absorber for the back of a tractor seat. The shock needs to be about 8" overall when collapsed, and have 3/4" holes in the eyes on each end. Any ideas. I found one that is 10" collapsed, but it is just a hair too long. Thanks for any help you might have. Bob

I was able to rig one for my Farmall M using an old motorcycle shock that I had laying around. If you can't find a part number that might be a way to go.

Try a shock absorber from a golf cart either EZGO or a Club Car should be about right.

Buncha softies. The only shock absorber I ever had on a tractor seat was MY seat! Hmmmm, maybe that's why they call me one of the dead end kids. LOL

By the measurements its the same shock that Farmall used on the 450. You can get them from most of the aftermarket tractor part suppliers and CaseIH. I tried napa for mine. Napa called Monroe with shock number and was told it couldn't be sold through a auto supply.I can give the numbers off old one & new one. Old number International H0791G1. New one has two numbers C157R1 351-750-R93. Hope this can help you.
