Oliver Row Crop to be or not to be?

Hello I"m looking for some help and I hope I"ve come to the right place. My father in law recently passed and as part of his estate he left a Oliver Row Crop Serial #64 838-723 Spec #37-1593. The question I have been asked to try to get an answer for by his four daughters is are these tractors collectiable or should they look to have the machine sold for scrap. The tractor had a tree fall on the steering and seat bending both severly, it is repairable but is it desirable enought to attempt to find it a new home. The tractor is located in Minot Maine. Any advice that is offered would be greatly appreciated by myself and the four sisters. Thank you

id put in ad on craigslist. they can be collectible to the right people. i wouldnt scrap it. other than the tree falling on it what kind of shape is it in and does it run. if you are looking to get rid of it you can put an ad on this site or throw it by the road with a for sale sighn.

I wouldn't scrap it. In my area of WI Oliver tractors are worth quite a bit to collectors. We still do some of our farming with a Super 66. It's not in the best looking condition but we've had people stop in and try to buy it from us as is.

You should be able to sell it for parts even if it is badly damaged and get as much as you would for scrap. If you were near here I would be interested in buying it.

I don't know what model that is, someone on the Oliver board probably can id it by serial number. The model will have a big influence on value. Olivers have become very collectable and even a rough one is probably worth more than scrap.

If you have a digital camera you could take a picture and post the tractor on photo ads on this site. It has worked well for me and the ads are free.
