I have been noticing a transmisson fluid leak stain where I park it. Yesterday when I drove it into the shop, it was leaving a trail of spots. I took the sheet metal off the top andd found that one of the relief valves(I think) had fluid running out of the weep hole in the top surface. This valve? has a 1" hex body and the hex is about 7/8" high. Can this be cleaned out to fix, or does it need to be replaced.

Thanks in advance, Roy

I have a cub 1811 that is doing the same thing. Took the part off, sprayed cleaner thru it and was ok for about a half hour of running. Now it has started leaking again. Oil in ta was changed awhile ago as I had the back open for work on axle. What is that thing for and any idea as to cause?
