Also useful to park the hook over an ant hill, and repetitively drop the hook-- LOL

Or hook a gunny sack of black walnuts and drag it through the rollers to remove hulls.

John Mentioned in the previous topic of maybe someone in the Military forum may want one so I gave him these pics.

I just hate to see my friend scrapping things that are useful.

It is a Pettybone. The torque converter went out of it Owner is parting and scrapping

Engine was rebuilt professionally by PO.

Owner now isn't planning on doing anymore timbering He is basically a one man operation , and since he had a tree slide off a stump and rolled onto his foot pinning him until he realized that he could reach the saw he re cut it enough to get it off his foot and managed to get on his Caterpillar high lift and drive for help ( He lost half his foot) only custom cutting with his little sawmill is now in the future.

I am just trying to help him remove the useable parts and just finding out if something this old is worth saving, and any other possible applications the parts may have been used in.
I thank all of you for your replies.

Try posting to forestryforum.com. You might find an interested party there. The the very least someone will probably point you in the right direction for a salvage dealer who would give you more than scrap.

Thanks for the link, but as I would have to join and they want 5% for advertising when sold it isn't profitable for me to post someones else s property.

I only have the computer My friend has the goods, I am only trying to move items for him.I believe he Just wants to come close to even on the sales and scrap.

I know he will take $1400.00 for the engine, with not that many hours on since rebuild.
( Heck I can't get a 3 cyl Kubota for a garden tractor for that !) He was going to scrap the winch till I mentioned you guys telling me of possible outlets.

I will pursue all of them.
