this question is for the western slope farmers, around sun-Luis valley, just started a new job hauling grain from Coors, mt.vista to Coors golden, does any one have a contract with Coors for your grain. I'll be hauling 110k gross, in a 4-axle trailer from/to Coors. just wondering who's, if any one's grain, I'll be hauling. nice scenery along the route, hate the slow ride up/over passes, lol.

We dont grow Coors barley here in the Uncompahgre valley(Delta/Montrose) any more.Coors pulled out about '85.the buildings are still in use-but not by Coors. They are housing two different small manufactureing companys.

Technically speaking, the San Luis Valley is on the 'Easternslope'.the conental divide 'swoops' around to the west and south of the SLV.(I cheated and looked at the map) ;)

hey fudd: i wave with my pinkee finger, the rest of them will be holding to the wheel while going around those damn curves and passes all the way up 285. 110k is hell to control at any speed, and wouldn't even start to talk about those idiots and their driving habits in their speedster import..lol

Hi Bob,

With a load like that, would it be faster to take 160 east too I-25 then north? 285 with 110k would be fun but slower?

Donno, it's been to many years since I been over the 160 or 285.

With that much weight you better stay off I-25. Didn't know Colorado allowed that much weight, 110,000 LBS plus at least 30,000 LBS for truck that's quite a load.

You missed the word "gross" in bobs old iron's thread but 110,000 #s is a load.

Interesting... We would gross 111,100 on a tridem here...
Not sure what they allow on a quad. Don't really see many other than the odd heavy drop neck float.
