how late of maturity can you spray round-up beans without affecting them,i have some starting to bloom and need to spray for a second crop of sickle pod

It depends.... That wonderful answer, right?

Yield loss may or may not happen - depends on the year.

Most of us figure weed control is needed, go spray, take care of the weeds.

I will be this week, mine are begining flowering too.

I have always waited until the weeds got at least as tall as the beans. Otherwise some of your roundup will not get to the weeds. This has worked well for me. I have spot sprayed if later weeds came on and never noticed a loss of yield. At this point the only otherr option would be not to sprswy and that probably wouldn't be good.
