K SEAL......good?

hi--has anyone used k seal, its a radiator
head gasket sealant (like bars leak only more hi-tec). was wanting some input. just put some in my 03 f250. mechanic said it works 2 out of 3 times.

I used it once. Didn't see where it was any better than Alumaseal, just a HECK of a lot more expensive. In fact, the only difference I saw was that the K seal looked like Alumaseal in water instead of dry in a tube. Figured that's why it says to shake well.

No,it didn't,but I didn't have the problem that I thought I had. I thought I had an o-ring leaking in a wet sleeve motor. Turned out to be a cracked sleeve.
Just judging from the looks of the stuff, unless somebody knows different,I'd say it's nothing more than Alumaseal and probably isn't going to work any better. I think Alumaseal is something like $2 and the K-Seal is more like $14 or something. Having poured the stuff out and seen what it looks like,I don't think I'd spend that much more to use it again. Unless there's a whole bunch of great, flowery testimonials that come of this post.

My son had a Subaru with a head gasket that leaked water to the outside. He used something like that, and it worked. He drove it for several months before he sold it to someone for a parts car. Beat the heck out of pulling the engine!
