Hey, Gary,

Are you enjoying the warmweather up there? Looks like we are back to having the same weather, 100 Degrees forecast here and there for Thursday. How is the corn doing? We are still dry, got 9/10 rain last week end and it's already gone.

I can't speak for Gary, but here in southern Mn. it is very hot and humid. Yesterday the temp was 97 with a dewpoint of 82 which broke the old state record for dewpoint. Our saving grace was anywhere from 3 - 7 inches of rain last Friday over a big part of southern Mn. but then again we have lots of drowned out spots in the fields. Corn is tasseling and silking which is about 2 weeks behind last year.

On the other hand this weather is not good for livestock. We have misters on our fat cattle, breeding bulls, and our cows and calves plus fans. The bulls and cows come home on the yard and loafing shed and make a mess instead of staying in the pasture.

Hope this crap ends soon.

Keep cool!

HOT AND DRY!

We had .6" in the last 3 weeks. We were still in good shape till this heat hit over last weekend.

It is suppose to cool down to highs around 90 this week end. It was bouncing around 100 here yesterday.

I"m all sweated up by 10:00 in the mornings just riding tractors mowing weeds and spraying with the Prowler.

The corn is starting to shrink on the lighter soils.

We need a rain as well and just 2 weeks ago I never thought I would be saying that.

If we can catch a rain this weekend we may still be looking at some good yields.

So summer finally arrived, huh? Humidity is low here which makes the heat more comfortable, but IMO makes the possibility of rain less. Some areas around me had showers yesterday, but what we need is a general rain.
