I've installed a pto shaft extension on my 560 front tractor supply and it appears to "wobble" alot. Heres my question, if it breaks the pto shaft off at the tractor how hard of a job is this take apart? should I just take the extension off now or not worry about it?????? I don't want to fix a broke pto, but the extension sure looks alot more handy then taking the pump off when i want to use the mower!!!! TIA!!!!

If it wobbles, the fit is too poor. It must be straight and true with a tight slip fit. I would take it back, and get a different source! A broken PTO will set you back a few dayd in time, lost productivity, and aggrivation. Jim

You can get the better PTO extensions that use set screws to hold them tight rather than depend on the slip fit to hold them. Also the cheap imports are not machined very well.

The extensions are handy but I know of people getting killed with them they had a loader pump on and a stub shaft coming out the back and no shield on that part. They snag cloths.
