older friend of mine was doing some cleaning, he said i can have some old homelite chainsaws, and to come on over and see what else i wanted, and i just simply said "what about the cub cadet?" he perked up and said"that old thing, i tell ya what, you can have it, but if you sell it i get half"
we picked it up tonight

jumped it off with the golf cart after some point and plug sanding, and it RAN!! smoked a lot, but it ran

and the tail light is in good shape too. even the reflectors Both items very hard to come by for restoring them. super nice round fenders too.

I'd love to find one with a loader, those are some tough little tractors and very handy. My stepmom had one but she sold it. :^(

Are you sure you didn't overpay? Seriously, what a good friend you have. As other said, the fenders fetch good money if you part it out BUT............I would get it running good, throw some paint at it and use it. My 70 has ag tires in back and is just about unstoppable as well as indestructible.
