When was that pic taken? I thought they usually had that road clear by mid June. We bought a video about clearing that road. Those guys have balls! They start out with dozers on a 70 degree slope on top of 80’ of snow, x,000’ up a mountainside! Not for me. Been there several times.

We were there last year in the middle of June and the road was still closed but it opened a week later. They said then it usually is open by the 18th of June. Must have had a lot of snow this year to still be closed. Great pictures though!

Wife heard an avalanche warning on the weather radio yesterday! I don't remember having an avalanche in central Iowa recently!
