What are decent used pull-type windrower selling for in your area. These are the draper type with canvases. We are looking for a 25', but might consider a 30'. They are in the $8-9000 range for a decent used one around here. Looking for a Case/IH or John Deere, not because of loyalty, but because of dealer support. Have about 1000 acres of millet to swath later this year and our self propelled swathers are about played out. Looking to upgrade to a pull type. Don't have much luck looking online for anything. Usually says "none found" after typing in the specs that I am looking for.

Lots of those machines here in SW MO being used for the fescue seed harvest each year. I've seen prices this year from $6500 for a 20 foot machine to $12,000 for a 30 foot machine with a UII pickup reel. Hesston 1200; CaseIH 8210,8220,8230; John Deere 580, 590 are all essentially the same machine. Most parts will interchange.

Thanks for the info. I had heard that there were several swathers that were made by the same company. Somebody told me that Mac-Don fits in that category also. There is a Hesston swather at a dealer close by, but NO heston dealers for a couple hundred miles, but if the parts are interchangeable, might have to look at it a little closer.
