3.5 inches of rain overnight and wet carpet in the lower level of the house. Just GREAT!

Wow! We've had 2.5 inches here since last October. This is the worst drought here since the 1890's folks say...

I wish we could help, we have water to spare!

This is the (former) town of Church's Ferry, about 12 miles south of me, inundated by the ongoing Devils Lake Basin flooding.

The short story is that it nearly dried up in the drought years of the 30's era and has been on the rise for MANY years, rising terrifically since the 90's.

Methinks Mother Nature is addicted to left handed cigarettes! Some places are inundated, while the rest of the country is either burning, (literally) or frying. Here in central N.C. we are about five inches short of rainfall for the year. This ain't much compared to some other places, but if you live on an unpaved road it sure gets dusty!

Devil"s Lake has no natural outlet, and water levels have generally been rising for years, depending on rainfall and evaporation.

Got you beat Lance. I am over in Centerville and we have had 2.6 inches since. Well I can't remember the last time it rained.
