This 1906 Ford Model N was in the antique auto show in my home town, Seward, NE, on the 4th.

I believe they said it was one of 3 survivors.

No one can deny the excellence and determination of the US auto industry , and yet I see every day the sheer numbers of foreign vehicles sold in this country ,ie where the money goes !!!!!! .

Don't know if it is the same stuff but when I was workin in a rubber plant 30 so ago we used to get a product from Indonesia called block crepe.

Came in 250lb. sorta squares and was kinda translucent brown. Memorable because you heated it up by running it through an 8ft. mill and if you wearn't careful when you cut it off it would whip around under the mill and crack you in the nads. Ahh memories!

LOL Been there done that -- LOL even worse sore nads and trying to get it off the back roll in a hurry before the next batch was ruined, in an Opps !

That one really looks sharp! I bought one in pieces in 1954, never got around to working on it, sold it to a collector in Oblong, IL in 1973. And I saw one in the transportation museum in St. Louis, MO a few years ago.

The model N, R & S shared the same chassis. The model N had buggy steps for entry. The one pictured has a running board so must be the R or S.

Now you got my attention. I love old cars as well as old tractors. Those must have been some happy days when somebody bought one of them. I wonder if anybody will collect any of cars that are made today. LOL

Actually, a sheet on the car said the running boards and fenders were aftermarket.
