massey 135/2135 rear axles

Hi all, Got my massey 135 running good and bought a parts machine that had diffy lock but had very short axles. Was wondering what they were used for? I would like to swap them for a set of normal length axles with diffy lock or sell them and apply it to buying a set. Any ideas of who would use the shorter axles or what kind of collector would be interested? Also who might have a set of regular axles for sale, any idea what they would be worth if I found someone with a set? ( I did post similar question on Massey board with no response)

Thanks for all your help

Charlie

Don't know if they will fit or not, but I have a rear end off a Massey 50 that I could take the axles out of. My email's open. Keith

A narrow orchard or vinyard tractor would use shorter axles. There was also a narrow track 2135 for clearing sidewalks. I doubt anybody would swap for shorter axles. You should check with tractor salvage yards. Nobody is going to take apart a running tractor to swap for shorter axles. A tractor wrecker may give some credit for them if they had the axles you need. Otherwise, I think they'd be hard to sell.
