Trying to identify old Gilson yard tractor

We have an antique yard tractor that we finally identified as a Gilson. Is there anyway to know what year it is? We have looked everywhere on the thing and can't find any kind of numbers, name, or anything except for on the motor and a part number we found on the starter. I can post a pic of it (currently being repaired and restored) such as it is if anyone thinks they could help. It has a Kohler motor, that is a Cast Iron Line, it is belt driven, it runs great actually but rear axle and bearings may not be in such good shape. We are going to need parts so any help would be greatly appreciated.

These folks should be able to help you:

Would probably be best if you could post a pic or two of it for them.

Thank you so much. I will try and take some pics today and get them posted. I appreciate your help. When I get the pics I will post them here too. I will just add them to this thread so you can see. Thanks again!

Here's a Gilson garden tractor manual. I have a Wards garden tractor made by Gilson in 1971.

I have uploaded a couple of pics of my poor little tractor. My hubby is working on it and we would like to restore it. It runs really good, has some issues but nothing that can't be fixed pretty easy. Most recently discovered that the rearend was full of water and shavings. That didn't look good so are taking the rear end apart and whatever else we may find to see how much damage. Thanks for the manual pictures. Ours kinda looks like the one on the bottom manual. I found a plate on the motor with the following info on it: Model #AS; Serial #A07086; Spec#46227A; Then on the side another tag that reads KOHLER CAST IRON LINE. The starter has DELCO-REMY 1109704J9 12 Volt. Made in Anderson IN.

When most of us around here need bearings we try to get the inner and outer races out in good enough condition that the counter man (or woman) at the local bearing store can match it up with something currently available at a fraction of what a dealer would get for the same bearing.

Another pic of the other side of my cute little tractor. Still amazed at how well it runs despite all it problems. Maybe these photos will be able to help someone recognize whatever it is. It was painted green & yellow when we acquired it. Found rear end full of water and shavings. Taking it apart to see what the extent of the damage is. There is a plate on the front of the motor with the following: MODEL #AS; SERIAL #A07086; SPEC #46227A. On the side of the motor another one reads KOHLER CAST IRON LINE. On the starter we found DELCO-REMY 11019704J9 12 VOLT Made in Anderson IN.
