3 bottom 10 plow

neighbor has a 3 bottom 10" plow. He rigged up for 3 point although originally had a toolbar to swap out for different equipment. Anyone know who made or have you seen one? Dont really need but since I plow all the gardens in the neighborhood would like to have one.

I have never heard of that. Why use 3 10" bottoms when you can use 2 14" or 16" and get about the same width of cut?

Besause in different soils the width of cut makes a difference in turning the soil.

A lot of 10" bottoms made by all different companys. With that size bottom you would be trying to plow at 5 to 6" deep and in a lot of soils that is all they should be plowed at and with the 16" bottoms plowing depth has to be at least 8" to work and in those soils the ground is being destroyed by burrying all the top soil and bringing up all the subsoil to the top and people are wondering why their ground is not working up like it used to.

At the depth the different plows are made to work at a 5 bottom 10" plow for a 60" total cut would pull easier than a 2-16" plow cutting 32".
