First time in three years we didn't get 2 or more months of raining weather when it was time to cut hay. This year was beautiful, four feet tall, cut yesterday raked late today, round bale tomorrow. Baled one small one yesterday, have one small one to rake tomorrow and bale also.

I'm probably half done cutting, not quite half done baling. Looks like the rain stayed west this morning,HOPE anyway. Staying home this weekend to get as much up as I can. Not betting on being done before next weekend. Been MANY MANY years since I was this late.

Boy, my JD 346 would love windrows like that! That"s when it makes the best hay, when she"s eatin". My peanut hay just doesnt produce like that. Or not at all when it"s this dry!!

It"s a John Deere 70 with Behlen power steering. The picture is a little deceiving, makes the hood look quite a bit narrower than it really is. Got 40 big rounds put up today, great day.

I used to, or my father did when I was preadult have a JD720. I still miss it. We got a 4320 in place of it. The 620 my father bought new while he was a sophomore in high school. I'll keep it forever.

I was going to guess a 70 but that hood looked to narrow. Ya fooled me. ;>D
