I thought this was pretty cool. I saw this on the Half century of progress website, Wishing I could go. Its got 2 detroit engines 1 per axle. Built specifically to show off the plow its pulling.

are you sure it has four?? i remember it having two....i was 10 or 12 and watched it at the progress show....awesome. the cab is filled with sand to knock the sound back.

I think your right that it has two, I might have jumped the gun on the reading. I skipped over the two and just went to an engine drives each axle, and Looking at the picture with 4 exhausts.

that tractor is a beast. you could hear it across the whole show. some people came running to see and others went running away! it was at kinzes farm when talked to him, about 1990. i asked him why he didnt mass produce them. he said no profit. he could do better with grain carts. my dad liked it so much he bought 2 5020s with detroits.

I'm thinking it just has 2 non-turboed detroits. Thus the reason for 4 stacks. I've never gotten to see this beast in person but would love to one day hopefully!

Its going to be at the half century of progress show, The owner is taking out of retirement just for the show

I was at a Farm Progress show with my dad when I was young- this tractor was there, and made a lasting impression. It has 2 8v71's, or 318's, which were non turbocharged. I remember it pulling 12 or 14 bottoms, hinged in the middle. The tractor basically idled along like nothing was behind it. It will be a treat to see it again in Rantoul this summer.

I still like the sign in front of the factory, a 4X4 tractor and a big planter on a pole pointing down!
