Hobo, NC Crops

I just drove down from NE PA to Emerald Isle, NC. I can't believe how dry it is. I seen alot of corn that was probably past the point of no return even if it did rain.

I wish I could have brought some of our rain with me to share with you guys. I think we had rain almost everyday last week, 4 inches at least.
We have had record rainfall this spring and it has hurt the crops also.

Hay making is way behind also.

if you figure out how to send some rain, send a little to southwest OK, I have mowed once, garden is toast...110 today with no relief in sight.

I was at Fort Sill in the early 70"s. Dry, dusty and hot 107 degrees. I wish I could send some rain and I am sure some other guys that are getting flooded wish they could also.

we just got done fighting a fire at fort sill, 60 miles from me. it was in the hills--did get to see the national guard helicopters drop water. was a nightmare to fight...they lost 12-14 homes in medicine park north of the wildlife reserve.

Its been hit and miss,,, either a fog strangler are nuttin... My corn seams to have done well with little water,,, close by I have seen some corn 2Ft tall that has tasseled out...

It's getting dry here in ne MD. Very little rain
here in June. We had a wet Spring too. Calling for rain on Monday or Tues, I'll believe it when
I see it. I ran a water line out to the garden about 17 years ago. I keep the plants watered
until it rains. Hal
