My Pepper Plants

Keep shedding leaves, starting to chap my backside some. All types, bells and hots. Don't know if it's bugs or fungus, but am planning on mixing up some epsom salts, heard that's the best remedy. Any other ideas?

Maybe the soil is lacking some nutrients? Maybe sprinkle a generous helping of 12-12-12 lawn and garden fertilizer.

If the plant is healthy it will regrow leaves, it will take a while to get fruit but it will get healthy.

(That was the wife writing that. She said hers have done that too.)

My pepper plants almost all failed last year, and they're failing again this year (just like yours). It may be a fungus, I don't know, but one thing's for sure: TOO MUCH RAIN.

I did some experimenting this year. I planted some in hills and mulched most of them to keep dirt from downpours from sticking to the leaves and to keep them from catching blights from the soil. The only peppers that look half-way OK are the ones that were mulched and hilled. About 1/4 of the plants that weren't planted on a hill have died already. All are losing leaves.

After last year's failure I decided to plant enough plants to get some yield even if the same thing happened. I planted about 80 plants... I'm still not sure it's enough.

Mine are doing well now but a few weeks back they where not due to to much rain. A lot of the garden is behind what it should be but again that goes back to to much rain. I still have not been able to get the hay done because of the rain. Had one heck of a storm just this morning

if you do fertilize them do not give them much nitrogen, you will get nice plants ,but not many peppers They do like some epsom salts mixed in water Probably too cold and too much rain for them this year.

same problem, replanted and blamed grower for poor plants. walked out last night bout 8pm and saw pair of doves pulling leaves off , just pepper plants, dont know why
