I was just wondering how other clubs handle voting rights that go with being a club member. Do you set any limitation on particapation or number of meeting needed to attend. Our club is looking at set a number of meetings you need to attend in order to vote. The club president is just trying to cover all the base so he can stay in there a few more yrs. This will be his 14th yr.

Same with ours. You paid your dues, you get a vote IF you show up at the meeting to vote. No absentee voting.

Officers are required to attend 3 out of every 5 meetings to remain an Officer.

ALL Paid members are entitled to vote, even if they never show up at any meeting except to vote.
ONLY requirement is that they have a paid membership.

our club requires you to be present/paid member to vote on changes. unless it noted in news letter that a mail in ballot will be sent out. like others stated, all officers are present at meetings in order to hold voting.

Most clubs I have been or am currently associated with require you to be a paid up member and be present to vote, no absentee voting.
