Dave, I haven't used it for a bit but I was using "Skype" I heard they were in a bit of a mess as it was free Skype to Skype all over the world. I even talked one time to Croatia and it was clear as a bell. but if it was heavy in traffic like on the weekends it may cut out or drop call. all you had to do was recall back only by clicking on last callers /called send button could even make face to face conference calls. Got a Magic Jerk for the kid and it will not connect to ANY landline... other magic jerks and cell phone #'s work. Have TRIED to talk to a human as to what to do and have given up.

In my younger days, I *$#&^^% away FAR more money than the just short of $40 it cost in the bar on a single night, so I have just written it off to (a bad) experience.

What I CANNOT understand is how the regulatory agencies just let them play their ads on TV and sucker in other (DUMB) gullible folks like me!

I have DSL Internet and mine worked well to a point. What I said to others during calls tended to break up and they frequently had to ask me to repeat what I had said. What I heard was perfect and the set up with my local 911 dispatcher was easily done so that they had my physical address for emergency call identification and location.

Unfortunately I waited until the last minute to renew my service and the MJ site was down for maintenance. I have tried since but the site no longer recognizes my MJ, something about registration, not being registered or ??

I was a tad displeased that they raised the renewal rates too.

Well worth the cost in my opinion but it does have limitations.

We have had one for over a year. We use it almost daily. I haven't had too many bad reception calls, but I know there are a couple of towns around here that I can't call because of license agreements or something (a message is played when certain areas are called that says you can't call here). We have saved hundreds of dollars using it and will continue until they shut it down.
