Favorite flower

Tennessee's State flower is the purple Iris, but it's hard to beat climbing red roses or a field of gladiolas or daffodils.

I like any and all wildflowers, especially Cardinal flowers, butterfly milkweed, violets, trillium, and forget-me-nots. Mom always gushed over all the half-wilted bundles I brought back from a morning on the trout stream. An appreciation for wildflowers is just one of the gifts she gave me.

Domestically, I like daffodils, snapdragons, and zenias. I always add a row or two in the garden to attract butterflies.
