Don't pay attention to Lyle, they cut up a leaky Canadian corvette -boer war surplus, and he gave a guy a six pack for some ladders. My father was on a corvette for a while in the war, he said the 'head' was a line of outhouse seats with the waves coming up thru the holes in rough weather. They called it 'Alberta plumbing'. Ya know something, one of the nice points about Massey fergusons, didn't accur to me for a while, but I realized, unlike my big ol W6TA, 656, and all the AC's, even the little ones... I didn't need to stand on a box to pour fuel. I am a short little guy with short little tractors, and since it is technically impossible to fall off the ground. we were made for each other, my fergies and me...

If you have a pair of alberta cowboy boots you could get a bigger tractor oooooorrrrrrr get yourself a good chain step like i did for the mini, they build them right in mass you know right around the corner from walmart

(quoted from post at 04:12:25 06/14/11) What the h*!! is Alberta Cowboy boots-should I even ask?do
I really want to know?
o such thing just trying to get tony to go shopping for taller boots, He might have to bring his fuelling box with him to talk to the clerk behind the counter until he gets the taller boots. I have another idea for tony because he is so short. I have some empty 5 gallon pails you know from the oil spill, tony can attach them to his feet with red green tape. It should bring him up to 5 foot two LOL

Yeah, well I don't need a fueling box, step or white plastic pails since I became an MFer... so there. I suppose there is some hope for lyle, since he already owns a massey, seriously Delta, what he calls 'Alberta cowboy boots' are what the US army calls 'mickey mouse boots' good for 50 below zero, so people up there can use them 11 months a year. I see you got a couple turbos- any hydros? Mine sounded like a radio static whistle, worse than a whine, but I got used to it, never had a problem with the tranny at all, but it was a real 'etherhaulic', even on a hot summer day...

my old man did not wear his boots 11 months of the year but he did wear his lonng underwear 12 months of the year eeeewwwww

Yep,I got a 1256Turbo;a 706 turbo(310 engine),this tractor sounds awsome!;826 hydro(non turbo)some day I hope to turbo this one.My biggest 'want' is to put a 'Keystone'turbo kit on the Super M.Yes the hydro does have very distinct whine/howl,they(hydros)all do.

quote of the day....

""""I am a short little guy with short little tractors, and since it is technically impossible to fall off the ground. we were made for each other, my fergies and me..."""""

I'm so short that my backside hits the curb when I step off it.

Some of us resemble those remarks.... : )

I think all old guys do that, someday - next year? you will be wearing long johns all summer too. My father is 91, he got wacked across the legs by a submarine net chain during the war, no broken bones, but must have pinched the nerves, still itches him. Last week it was 8000 degrees out there, he is sitting down scratching his shins- thru his long johns. I said hey, if you are going to wear those things, why don't you go to Alberta? He thought about it, and said "no, I don't want to go there. Cold enough here"... so don't blame me ,must be in the DNA....
