Anyone know anything about the M John Deere? I bought one a few weeks ago and it has two fuel taks on it. Would like to know as much information i can find on this little tractor (SSN 33825 1949 year model)

thanks

The small tank is the gas tank and the bigger tank is for distillate which you can not find any more. In the long run now days it is just as cheap to run it on gas as it is on any thing else. That said if you have a fast food place in your area that you can get there cooking oil from you can filter it and mix it 50/50 with gas and the old girl will run like a champ on that mix. Years ago I would run my 1935 JD-B on a 50/50 mix of diesel and gas and it had what seemed like more power that way

Post this on the John Deere board. You'll get lots of responses. An all-fuel M(2 tanks, designed to run on distillate) is not a common tractor at all.
