a few post back someone wrote about shooting coons in their corn field and they did not get any heat for it . I had wrote about the bear trying to get in my house to eat my family so i shot it and some thought i was a criminal whats the differance between the coon and the bear???

Mr obvious here... about 500 pounds.

Both are inquisitive and destructive.

FWIW, I'd have shot the bear also.

Prairie dogs are becomeing a "protected species"."they are so cute"-"they dont hurt any thing".I still shoot em and"run em down"as often as I can.I guess that makes me a "murderer"

The bible says animals are put here for our use, if they become a nuisance, they are secondary to man, so if they invade you can eliminate them....PETA or no PETA.

It seems like its worse to kill an animal than a person. A couple of years ago near here some guys found rattle snakes(lots of them) under their cabin. They killed all of them and pictures were put in the paper of all the snakes they killed. You wouldn't believe some of the comments people wrote to the paper. To read what they wrote you would think they were talking about a mass murderer.

You see, in Canada, you can shoot the bear, but not the burglar. In the states, you can shoot the burglar, but not the bear. As for racoons, in southern states, you can eat them, in central states you can run over them. In Canada... well, racoons are smart, they only go there for summer vacation....

You're right about when they become a nuisance, but I see a lot of people use that as an excuse.

Some folks like to kill for the sake of killing.

Problem is thar as big of a nuisence as some animals can become....some people can be an even bigger nuisence......Shame we can't just shoot them too...LOL
