I usta buy 'em on occasion and enjoyed some of the articles; as a full-time farmer/plumber/carpenter/roofer/engineer/welder/electrician/commercial orchardist/cattleman/logger/sawmill operator/bookkeeper/fence builder/heavy equipment owner-operator/surveyor/brick mason/concrete pourer-finisher/conservationist/mechanic/flat fixer/designer/cook, etc, I found them to be...............entertaining, for lack of a better word.

When I got tired of their constant trumpeting of the hoax of man caused climate change I dropped my subscription.

The first one might be worth a 40 year set without it. There has always been a following, and a big part of lots of country folks home library. Offer them up for a reasonable price in the classifieds on the left column, incase some people don't read tractor talk. I've seen church bulletins thicker than mother #1. Around here, some people collect old 'Yankee'. Talk about 90% advertising....

If you have the smarts to use some of the ideas you would not be critical,I have a small air compressor I built over 20 years ago from a MEN article.I put together a log hauler from an article in MEN.Built it stronger.Cost me 200.00,a ready built one is 2 grand.I have to haul logs on the highway and the logs are mud free when unloaded at my saw mill.
