very OT: Admiral oven won't work

Sorry to post this here but I have looked everywhere online for help, even payed at an "expert" site and still haven't gotten an answer. My Admiral 686aj-tksvw oven range works fine on the range, the broiler feature works and the self clean works but the oven doesn't. If I turn the oven up to above 500 it will light and run for about 15 seconds then shut off. When it is running, the display says the oven temp is at 460-480 even with the door open. I did purchase a new internal temp sensor and this made no difference. I checked both ignitors and they are working correctly. It would make sense that the temp sensor is faulty but it made no difference between the old one and new one. I can't get the oven to light at all below 500 degrees. This oven has the computerized digital display but the display seems to be working correctly. just not the oven. Appreciate any help, getting tired of microwave meals.

Check the wiring between the temp probe and the controller. Either that or the controller itsef if it thinks its 480 at room temp!

Here"s my guess. The oven"s glow-ignitor has a hairline crack. Some systems try to detect the flame from the glow-ignitor. Even if it glows and lights the gas, the computer can"t detect the flame, and thats why it shuts the gas off after 15 sec. You might be able to swap the 2 ignitors, maybe they are the same. See if that works.
