belts on john deere round baler?

What causes belts on a John Deere round baler to move to one side and roll over? Just the belts in the middle, not on the outsides. Put on new belts today, ran baler, and new belts wanted to move and 2 rolled over.

Three things that could be causing your problems.

1) JD balers have short and long belts that are ran on different side of the rolls. Do you have the right belts in the right place???

2) Check and make sure you do not have a roll bearing out. If one side is out it will run the belts to one side.

3) Have you resized ALL of the belts in the baler??? If you have shorten the older belts that you have on the outside then the new longer belts will run all over the place. Or the older belts could be too long and causing problems. I resize my baler belts EVERY year. I never like to have belts that are not with in four inch of the same in a baler.

What model baler? You ran the baler after installing "new belts" with hay in it or no hay?

I've seen belts cut not exactly straight and that can cause belts to walk from side to side.
