I have some Coons that are coming into the carport at night and raising all kinds of problems. I take the dog food in at night and it still don't help. Is there any way of getting rid of them and not harming a dog or a cat? I have tried a live trap and that has not worked at all. Thanks
Bob

I have no trouble catching them in a live trap. I got the biggest one they had at TSC which only has a door on one end and it is spring loaded. A little bit of tuna fish in the very back gets them in there. I shoot them in the trap then dispose of them.

I like to place bait on the ground under the trap. By the time the prey gets to it, they"ve trampled the trigger plate thoroughly.

Golden link_disallowed flybait and pepsi or coke in a dish. Don't know if dog or the cats will drink it. Also heard about wet marshmallow rolled in golden link_disallowed. I heard that cats won't drink antifreeze, but don't know about coons.

Coon is very smart. We have a problem with them dammaging corn feeders ment for the deer. We catch 1 coon then none will enter. so we move to the next stand catch one at a time. Time we make the rounds they have forgotten. It dosent get rid of them but keeps them under control. G
