My Goldwing started stumbling under a load, so I put in new plugs, but no difference. Runs out good in first, but when I shift to second it starts stumbling at about 2500 rpms. I have pulled teh choke out and it makes no difference.
Any of you guys have an idea as to what might be wrong? Bad Fuel?

with todays regular fuel containg ethanol you have to run the premium fuel that (around here) contains NO ethanol, what happens is moisture mixes with the ethanol making a acid, and we all know what acid+pop metal alumin makes, if it were me i'dd get some SeaFoam and some fresh premium fuel and mix only 2 gallons , drain what's in the tank and go for a ride with the mixed fuel,

btw i've stared to only use premium fuel in my 2-strokes .cause i dont know how long the fuel will be kept

Think you're gonna have to pull those carbs off of there and clean 'em out (air gun thru the pick up circuits).

As I recall, it's not a fun job neither. :>)

Re: ethanol in the fuel. Try to go to statios that have a separate hose for each grade. The small tank of a motorcycle-even the two gallon tank I use for chain saw gas, will get nearly a quart of ethanol gas before getting the 'good' stuff at stations with one hose serving all.

have a 82 wing. sits long periods also, i freshen it up with newer higher level gas, also have carb cleaner added. sometimes i take air filter out and use carb spray while half/more throttle to clean rods off of gunk. when i don't run it, i do like my tractors, run the gas [valve off] out till it dies.... as we type, i need to do that now....
