O/T 2-4-D in Sweetcorn?

I have a lot of milkweed and horse nettle in parts of my garden where my corn is planted. Can I spray 2-4-D? The corn is about six inches in the tallest patch. I've been using glyphosate, in a one-gallon sprayer and wand combination, where the corn has not emerged yet.

Thanks.

Read the label. If the corn is not over 8 inches tall you can use it, but you need to use at the rate of 10 to 12 ounces per acere. This would only be two to three drops in a garden size application. 2-4-d will make the stalks soft and the corn will fall over is it is used to strong. (I learned this one the hard way)

Just put on some gloves and grab the hoe and get out there and do it. Everybody thinks we have to spray, spray, spray everything.

I picked up an old Gilson rear-tine tiller for $120 last year. Weeding sweet corn isn't even close to work now. I DO have to lift one finger to steer it down the rows though. I guess I still pull the weeds in the row, but that's easy work once the soil is loose on both sides of the row.
