Spent the last two days finding/repairing that derned intermittent short in the A/C system.

Now, which one of you jokers stole my fill hose that I just bought brand new last spring? :>(

LOL!

Think I'm gonna have to do like ol' what's-his-face and clean my shop.

Naw, probably be way easier to just go buy another fill hose. :>)

devil hides your stuff too ? Best way to find anything is to give up and stop looking for it.

Dunno,

Traded pickups in December. Did I leave that goofy thing in the door pocket of the other truck?

Oh well, the heck with it. Gotta go move some bulls today anyhoo. If I live thru that, then I'll worry 'bout the air. :>)

Working out in the barn, searched and searched for my shop rag. I KNOW it was here, whre did I put it??? Looked and looked, gave up and finally went into the house, went to wash up for lunch and there in the mirror, it was on my left shuolder.

Kind of like feeling your pockets for your cell phone and afraid you lost it and all the time you are talking on it. After you lose a few you panic pretty quick.

hey, I found it under bunch of hive supers stacked in garage, only problem I was looking for my tanglefoot bottle to put traps in apple trees, :(

Allan, I know the feeling,,,That is why Mom had a string tied to my mittens and ran them through the sleeves of my jacket when I was little. Now!... I still misplace gloves on a regular basis....guess I still need a string on them too!!!!!
Wished I could tell you where it is, But alas I can not say. It will turn up in that place where all lost thing go... for you wanted them kept safe and not lost or torn up.

Spent the past 2 weeks looking for my B&D battery drill. Looked in the house and both shop buildings. Cain't even remember when or what for I used it last! Favorite daughter call this 'Dadzihmer's'. Ok kid, think your so smart, I'll give you 10 bucks to find it! Still waiting!
(haven't sold anything that's big enough for it to hide in lately)

Best (sometimes only) way to find something is to go buy another; the original will then turn up.

Allan In NE,

"Think I'm gonna have to do like ol' what's-his-face and clean my shop."

and then you won't find anything.

With a lot of pushing, proding, words like what a mess from W . . . I can spend days cleaning up, then never find what I'm looking for until I'm looking for something else.

You'll find it in the drawer you put it in, to make sure it doesen't get lost.
'But not until you buy another one'.

Yeah, if my head wasn't attached I'd lose it too! Couldn't find my glasses once because I was WEARING them. Oh yes, another thing, anyone on this forum is welcome to come to my place and find that last rock on the farm. Marilyn and I have been picking up rocks for a week and we haven't found it yet. I live six miles west of Albert City, IA. Get up early, I'm out there at 6:00 AM while it's still cool. I'll provide the bug repellant and water. Drive up the road slowly and I'll see you from the field and wave you in LOL! Jim

I know exactly where that last rock is and I've never even been to your farm. All you need do to find it is to pick up all the rest of 'em first.

That"s probably my fault. Yesterday I found my boss"s fuel cap that he lost out in the field. He was working ground ahead of me and I happened to notice it while planting. Never fails...it was after they spent 90 bucks on a new cap.

i had (lost) my spliceing tool for high tensile
fence wire. the blasted thing was missing for 3 ? years i thought it had ran away from home with some other stuff that is lost.
well i was moving a pile of boards and there it was it had been hiding from me.

ALLAN...Do you have a specific individual in mind...ol' what's-his-face...or are you using that generically? I m-i-g-h-t have been guilty of cleaning shop LAST year, but not so this year.

I will return all "found" items if/when I find them.

Need some more music on here!!

Oh yeah, so you look at the house for a while. Then you look at the farm because you "know it HAS to be there" then you look some more places in the house. Been there done that. With stuff in THREE places. And just when I decide I MUST have sold it it turns up right where I put it. Of course I don't need it by then.

Last time I was missing something it was a long 1/2" extentions, ratchet and some sockets (close to 300 dollars worth in the mid 90's)........well I found them after I replaced them......In my brother in laws tractor tool box! Seems that one of my nephews was working a field close to me and had a problem. When I wasn't home decided that good ole unkle Rick would be OK with him using my tools.......got done and just tossed em in the tractor tool box! They now know that good ole unkle Rick is ok with em using my tools....AS LONG AS THEY RETURN THEM!!!!!!

When I do misplace something I always find it.......right nest to something else I misplaced!

Rick

Doesn't take long, either. Waited 3 weeks for the keys to an old Dodge pickup to turn up. Finally called a locksmith, found the keys half an hour after he left.
