How do you get get stuck pre-chambers out of the head? Head was hot-tanked by my machinist and 4 came out. Can't punch out from the bottom without damaging jet hole. Still available from I.H.,but $250 apiece. People have said "Just leave 'em in there" but...I can't do it. Original owner longtime family friend, Dad with him when he ordered the tractor, was in pristine condition until his death in '82. Finally tracked it down in '06 with the muffler rotted off. Broken cyl. wall, water damage to crankshaft, injectors, cyl. head and the rest of the tractor a sad, battered sight.By time I paint the engine I'm going to cross the $3000 line, and I will not have rust anywhere inside that engine! Thanks, Fritz

Fritz,

They can be a bear. I usually start out
soaking with gum cutter (2 + 2)for a few days
and some soft hammer encouragement. When all
else fails ,cut threads in the big side and
use threaded rod (bolt preferably) and drag
it out .

They've been soaking in various "magic" penetrants since January, I don't think they're gonna move. Would like more detail on that threading idea. Thanks, Fritz
