came home today and my bean sprouts were laying on the ground. Took a look at them and something had nibbled on the stem. whatever it was left the leaves and bean shells alone and just took a bite out of the stem. anybody got any ideas?

I dont know what it might be; but if you replant? Try using seven dust (or equivilent) & see if that takes care of the problem. Could be insects, or something large like rabbits. Try going out in the dark late night & early morning with a flashlight. Might find something that avoids sunlight in the middle of a meal! I know rabbits like to knaw Broccoli stems off at ground level... When the dog wasnt looking anyway!

Put "crow bait" on your seed next time before you plant, or mix sevin dust and sulfur together, watch closely, just as sprouts come out of ground dust lightly, will work untill it rains.
