Central IL, 1.5in. Wed. morning about 4:00am. 2in and counting Thurs. morning. Missed strong storms last nite, went south around Peoria, just heavy rain.

I have the oppisite problem.Planted corn into dust a month ago.Ground will not take water-consequently,I cant get across it all.Some has sprouted in the dust.If iI dont get it wet soon,we will lose it.

state head of our county agents (paul jasa) recommended planting 3in deep. I mulled it over all winter. finally decided to do it as he's never steered me wrong in 20yrs. i'm totally sold on it now. always in moisture and establishes a great root system!
