white 105 fuel system

I recently purchased a white 105 and found the valve on the fuel line to the lower tank turned off. Tracing the line back I found that it tees into the top tank and then to the fuel injectors. I assume it"s a return line since it doesn"t pass thru the fuel filter. Can anyone give me more details on how the fuel system works? Is there another line out of the bottom tank that I am missing? If I fill the bottom tank will the engine draw from it? Thanks.

hi vanblar i see you are a new user i am fairly new to this site also i can help with your question i just wanted to welcome you to the site these men on this site are full of info better than any dealership they know the older tractors the dealerships i dont think know any of the old tec anymore im sure you will find your answer on this site

one tank isn't vented and will draw fuel from the side tank first then the main tank with the gauge, if you only fill the main tank it will feed off of that one

I'm not positive how that works on a 2-105. On my 2-135,it draws off the bottom tank. You fill the top one and there's a hose that fills the bottom one at the same time. On that one,I'm thinking the return line from the injectors feeds back in to a line on the top front of the top tank.
If you ask over on the Oliver forum, there are plenty of 105 owners over there who could tell you for sure in a hurry.
