i have a 2wd L2550 that runs great but after a little bit of higher rpm run time (mowing) it starts to run real rough. there is a little nob near the fuel pump that i move and it runs a little better then it does it again. any info as i am new to diesel tractors

Have you had the tractor long, maybe the filter needs changed. My L2550DT did that also, I changed the switch on the filter and it never did it again. Hope it isn't a bypass on the filter. Hope this helps. NorminN.B.

That knob is for bleeding if you run it dry, it needs to be in the closed position once the air is out or it will suck air in and run rough at anything above idle.

Mine is clockwise to close I believe.

Its on the fuel filter housing. Pointed "left" and "up" are both on, right is "off", according to my manual. I dont know why there is two "on's". One might be a bypass of the filter.??
