cost to plant corn

What is the cost per acre for planting corn? I figured my 14 acres cost me about 400 an acre. This includes seed, dry fertilizer, and liquid nitrogen sprayed on with herbicide. Is this in line?

Seems a little high. I could tell you better if I knew the trait package of the seed, type and quantity of herbicide,and analysis and rate of application of fertilizer.

That is about right if you used a triple stack seed. The fertilizer and chemicals have gone through the roof around here.

Triple stack seed anout 90.00 an acre 2 custom applications of glyphosate cost about 40 bucks an acre here with a little Bicep added to the burn down treatment. Fertilizer, 50 an acre for urea at 500 a ton. P, K, and lime 700, 600, and 15.50 per ton respectively applied to soil test.
