manure spreader chain

well time for new apron chains in the spreader as the left side is broke and wrapped around the beater. It is a new holland 195 spreader with dual aprons. the chain in it now is pintle chain. should i stick with the pintle or go with t-rod? also were is a good place to get chain? Thanks.

I put an H chain from Shoup on mine. I'll never use pintle chain if I have the choice again.

I was going to suggest them.

A whole 5 miles from my place. I've bought manure spreader and chopper box aprons from them. Good guys to deal with. They will also sell you just the chain, if you want to reuse your slats. Lot cheaper, but "no warranty".

Is the t-rod stronger than pintle or what reason to stay away from pintle ?
